Godaddy.com WordPress Menu limit php.ini is now .user.ini

GoDaddy Monday 21st 2014 stopped supporting php.ini files. They said it should have been changed to .user.ini, but when I logged in using Fetch, I still saw php.ini. So if you saved your long menu in wordpress on GoDaddy.com and lost most of your menu it is because it was trying to access there server side “.user.ini” file. They sent out an email about it… but seeing that the account isn’t in my name, I didn’t get it. Basically when you are trying to save that long menu it looks for the php.ini file, but they were all KILLED by GoDaddy because they were breaking the servers. Without that input from my previous php.ini file it didn’t have the OK to give that menu more functions. As wordpress refreshed… it comes back with about 1/4 of the menu items that should be there. I’m just glad I did a backup the night before! As HUGE as that menu is on the left hand side of BigTenRentals.com its easier to recreate the other stuff I lost then to redo that menu!

I guess I was a little old school by using php.ini (or maybe I was just informed wrong by Godaddy.com member).

OLD/Previous php.ini file:

register_globals = off
allow_url_fopen = off
expose_php = Off
max_input_time = 192M
max_input_vars = 9000
variables_order = “EGPCS”
extension_dir = ./
upload_tmp_dir = /tmp
precision = 12
SMTP = relay-hosting.secureserver.net
url_rewriter.tags = “a=href,area=href,frame=src,input=src,form=,fieldset=”

[Zend]
zend_extension=/usr/local/zo/ZendExtensionManager.so
zend_extension=/usr/local/zo/4_3/ZendOptimizer.so

Current .user.ini file:

register_globals = off
allow_url_fopen = off
expose_php = Off
max_input_time = 600
variables_order = “EGPCS”
extension_dir = ./

precision = 12
SMTP = relay-hosting.secureserver.net
url_rewriter.tags = “a=href,area=href,frame=src,input=src,form=,fieldset=”

cgi.fix_pathinfo = 1

session.save_path = /tmp
upload_tmp_dir = /tmp

max_input_vars = 999999
memory_limit = 512M
post_max_size = 192M
file_uploads = On
upload_max_filesize = 192M
max_execution_time = 600

[Zend]
zend_extension=/usr/local/zo/ZendExtensionManager.so
zend_extension=/usr/local/zo/4_3/ZendOptimizer.so

Look at that “max_input_vars = 999999” I’ll never have a problem with the menu partially saving ever again!!
